Goethe-Institut Multifunctional Space

A recently completed project referring to the renovation of the existing event hall of Goethe-Institut, hosted in an iconic listed building in the historic core of the old town of Nicosia.

The existing space which is located at rear part of the listed property, has been preserved and transformed to a flexible multifunctional space able to host a wide variety of events, from exhibitions and film projections to  panel discussions, conferences, seminars and examinations.

The new use incorporates within the space through an intensive and careful insertion of modern applications and technology upgrade. Minimalist line the new applications offers clarity, while striking white surfaces harmonise with warm colour palette ceiling structure.The particular pattern of the ceiling redefines the scale of the space and highlights at same time perception of volume and perspective of the space. The adjustable lighting system with magnetic tracks offers the capacity to respond accordingly to any lighting requirement of each event hosted in the space.
